Niche Pot - Make Money With Your Blogs

Well this weekend went by really fast, I was looking forward to my New York Jets upset the Pats but that didn’t happen.  I saw a post on John Chow (the passionate blogger) today that got me thinking!   Do I love what I do?  Do you?   I guess I’ve never realized how one would consider this ‘hard work’.

I have this little cartoon from ToothPasteforDinner.com that reminds me how lucky I am everyday.

I’m glad that is not me!  I think the day I consider this ‘hard work’ is the day I’ll stop doing it.   I’ll admit that MOST of the things I’ve tried on the web doesn’t work, but I chalk it up as another lesson learned.

But I keep trying and lean from the mistakes that I’ve made and move on.  The most important thing I’ve learn in the 36 years on this planet is that life is full of ups and downs, and if you can keep your focus on where you WANT to go, you’ll get there and the trip there won’t be that ‘hard’!

I’ll keep this one short because there’re about a million EntreCard reviews out there already.

Last week I read a post on John Chow’s blog about EntreCard, and how you can get a free banner on his site.   What?! Free ad on John Chow’s blog?  I’m so there!!  At first I wasn’t sure about the whole service (ok I was confused) but after installing it on one of my other blogs (TrendSquad.com) I was HOOKED!  I spend about 2 hours clicking other people’s cards as well as dropping my own (hint: the more you drop the more credits you get, and it will also attract others members to visit your site and drop their cards.) 

It’s been about a week since I put up the EntreCard code on TrendSquad.com and it is actually getting about 120 clicks a day from all the advertisers I got with my free credits!  So I figure it’s about time I add them to all of my blogs.

One complaint I do have is, you have to set up one account per blog and that can get a little bit confusing.  According to the EntreCard forum, they’ll implement multiple blog accounts down the road, but I’m gonna jump on this now and get my free traffic now!

Another Hint:  This screen shot below was taken less then a minute after an account was setup for WeblogMoney.com.  It shows 4 advertisers was ready to buy a spot on my blog at 2 credit ( the price of your advertisement will increase as more people drop their card at your site)  So don’t be so fast to accept these advertisements, unless you’re happy with 2 free credits!

I won’t pretend I’m making millions and you must by my ebook (which I don’t have) if you want to do the same!  I’m just like you, well most of you..  Blogging for the fun of it, and maybe make a few extra bucks via affilaite marketing or adsense for my weekend beer tab.  The past few weeks I’ve changed my ‘ways of thinking’ and realized that maybe making millions (for a few extra grand) a month is not really that hard after all!

What inspired me to change my ways of thinking you ask?  I’m sure you’ve seen this picture by now.

Yes that’s $132,994.97 in ONE MONTH!  That’s alot of beer tabs you can cover!

I know what you’re thinking right now! Damn! I want to do that, I want one of those checks!  We’ll my friend, I truly believe you and I can accomplish the same if we really work at it!
